[Q] How to check session Optimizer_mode ..

we have SUN Sparc solaris 2.5 with Oracle 7.2.3 installed on it. I wonder is there has a way to check what is my session "optimizer_goal " mode. If I use "alter session set optimizer_goal= rule", how can I confirm that change?
