Re: ORA_SID in Sql*Plus?

How about adding the value of ORACLE_SID to your system prompt? This is what I do, then you can just shell out and back to see what it is.

Or: from SQLDBA / SVRMGRL do: show parameter db_name

Or: ... . . . . . . . . 101 ways to skin a cat.......
