Batch Execute from Forms Trigger

Hi!

Is it possible to have a procedure execute in batch mode as opposed to on-line from within a When-Button_Pressed trigger ?

I have a data extract routine that could potentially run for 8 hours depending on the selection parameters. The client environment is Windows95 or Windows 3.11 and the server is HP Unix and Oracle 7.3
