You have obviously misunderstood. It means misc to most people. Here, they are using it instead of "discuss." If you would actually look at misc.jobs.misc, you would see that this will be an invitation to every kook and headhunter to crosspost to cdom.

Yes, this attitude has developed over a couple of years of trying to "get back" misc.jobs.misc to its charter. This is a thankless and quixotic task, and it is not my attitude that makes it so. The problem has gotten to the point that a renaming failed, because there is so much noise that not enough people bothered to read the group to vote yes on the renaming.

I simply pointed out that .misc is bad. I'm moaning and whining that my better alternative was ignored when it was offered at the appropriate time. NOW IT IS TOO LATE, so how am I supposed to offer a better alternative? You seem to have missed the fact that I have been contributing to these groups for years. Does the msn allow access to the jobs faq? Have you seen it?
