I'm currently using SQL-Net 2.x on my Win 95 PC running various Oracle client applications, all of which seem to suspend my machine when the Oracle server is "thinking about" a query before sending results back. This happens when I run Oracle's own SQL-Plus and many Borland Delphi tools running against SQL-Net.
Is it normal for Oracle/SQL-Net to block all Windows messsages while it is working on something? Does this vary from one version of SQL-Net to another? Is there any way to tweek some Oracle configuration files to overcome this problem?
Any ideas or insights would be appreciated.
Thanks,
