did you relink your apps with the new v2 libs?

cd to $ORACLE_HOME/bin and exec :
% drivers sqlplus

you should get :

SQL*Net Drivers linked with sqlplus are:  

V1 Pipes
V1 TCP/IP
SQL*NET V2 if not, then use $ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/lib/sqlplus.mk to remake and install
the binary.
