If you can get ahold of a copy, I reviewed 14 database development packages in the April 15th issue of Computer Reseller News. (CMP publications - they have a web site, and I'm sure you could order a back-issue).

BTW, Visual dBASE got Editors' Choice (They picked it, but I agreed with their selection!)
