Having used 7.1 on NT 3.5 and 7.2 on NT 3.5.1 (patches 0,1 and 3) I can quite safely say that Oracle works better than any other thing on NT. Quite often it is servicing the network quite happily when the console is dead (like when program mangler disappears for no adequately explained reason or the Win16 Subsystem dies).

With IBCS2 and Linux FIPS/POSIX certification (the 1.2.13 kernel), the SCO Oracle on Linux is looking very attractive. The next year should see Linux getting lots of support, and there are rumors from within Oracle of client library support for Linux the way Sybase provide client-side tools and source (similar to X-windows SQL*Plus, SQL*Net, OCI libraries) for Linux - FREE.

Details on putting SCO Oracle on Linux in the FAQ archives.
