Well, there is a lot of variable unknown here, like:
What kind of load do you expect to be generated every day, or more accurately simultaneously.
Is your application OLTP (on-line transaction processing) or mostly simply use as to know what's available. If it's split, what's the ratio and the load of every one.
Again, what kind of delay your users would accept, is it to be used while talking over the phone with a client or is it just for querying?
Also, what kind of network are you using, the simple (but sometime effective) built-in the MacOs 7 or Apple Talk or Ether Talk?
Would you consider using a PC as your server, because you don't have much choice, I'm not sure PO7 for Mac allow multiple concurrent users even if you put it on a stand alone computer...
Well i believe that if you'r able to answer all these question you'll be on your way to figure out what you'r application requirement are all by yourself. But I'm still around...
