Question about the sgadef<db_name>.dbf file

I'm looking for references about the sgadef<db_name>.dbf file, and what will happens if this file is lost, and how to procede. I cannot find references for this file in any manual's index, and I don't dispose of Oracle Book, so thank you for any info.
