I was wondering if anyone knows if I need a native (OS/2) version of SQL*NET and the TCP/IP adapter, if I am going to be running a Visual Basic Application that connects to our Oracle 7.1.6 DB through an ODBC driver? Can I just install SQL*NET on the windows side of the OS/2 Box, given that is where the application is running.
I have an OS/2 program that is piping the data from the OS/2 side to the dos/win side of the box. Then I need to grab the data with my VB app - which I can do and insert it into a table in my Oracle DB.
If any one has any suggestions about the tools, ODBC divers to use or avoid. I would be greatful.
Thanks
