G'day Felicia,

We are running V7.0.16 on Dec Ultrix and encountered this problem ourselves. Oracle support said there was no fix for V7.0.16 but the bug was fixed in V7.1.4.

We had to code around the problem by testing for the error, and if it occured, issue a 'shutdown abort'. So far this has worked fine.
