Export / Import

Help Needed .

        I am running two Digital VAX machines one with version 6
        of Oracle the other version 7.

        Exports from vs7 will not load into vs6 with an error
        of character set conversion ( 3 to 1 ) not suported.

        Is this a general problem or a function of my
        system configurations.
