SunOS usually refers to Solaris 1.x but Solaris 2.x has SunOS 5.x as the o/s portion. Therefore, if you can read the CD under SunOS (Solaris 1.x) you should be able to read it under Solaris 2.x.

try the following commands:
mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0 /mnt mount -F ufs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0 /mnt

Incidentally you may want to stop the volume manager first using: /etc/init.d/volmgt stop (as root)
