Se are running Oracle7 Servers on several DEC Alpha machines, running OSF/1. We have a few Mass Update applications that update Oracle Tables from files download from a mainframe machine.
Several of these applications seem to be system hogs and it seems that Lowering the priority of the Server Process "oracle<DBNM>" helps reduce the contention with interactive users.
My question is, does anyone know of a call, that can be made from a Pro*C application, to adjust the Priority of it's Server process.
