I come across similar problem. Here I'm using Oracle 7.1.3 on Solaris I tried to access the server through MS Access 2.0 using ODBC driver ver 1.10.0000. I found that I can only attach tables when I first started Access. After the first time attachment, I will get error , saying that 'TNS lookup failure' when I tried to do attachment again. However everything goes fine when I do the query in MS Query! I've contacted the Oracle support. They simply send me a new version of ODBC driver (1.11.0000) but in vain. The same thing happens again. Can anyone out there shed light on this area please!!!!!
