You only 'need' CASE*Dictionary, the other modules are optional depending on your own requirements. If you want to generate Forms, then also take the Forms Generator; if you want to generate reports then also take the Reports Generator. If you like drawing ER, DF and Function Hierarchy diagrams then also take the Designer.
What I am expecting on SunOS (Oracle still cannot tell me when) is CASE*Dictionary 5.1 and Forms Generator 4.0. We do not use reports so I am not particularly interested in the Reports Generator. The release may also include CASE*Designer, but this will only be a maintenance release at best.
It is my understanding that Oracle are not developing CASE*Designer any further on Unix; you are stuck with version 1. If you want the new designer go for the new MS Windows CASE version. I have been given the impression that Oracle are no longer interested in CASE on Unix; all their effort is now focused on MS Windows. The product has been rewritten for MS Windows only, it has been also been renamed, gained an extra module to handle BPR stuff and has the new designer. It is currently in beta.
