ORACLE Reports 2.5 is really sweet, better that 2.0 for sure. With all of the ORACLE Reports X.x you can run a created report from the commandline, a process scheduler, designer, Forms, PRO*C, and the list goes on. You will need to look in the Reports reference manual for all of the commandline/parameter file arguments.

The CDE2 tools are pretty tightly integrated so calling a report from Forms, or Graphics from Reports, etc is much easier too. CASE has generators for reports, forms and menus so development is usually fast and always bulletproof.

As for running a report from the commandline, use "r20run" for Reports 2.0 and "r25run" for Reports 2.5. I recommend upgrading to the CDE2 tools asap; they are really nice.
