Financials 98.4.2 - Segment Value Security

Using GL:-

Is there an easy fix to the following:

I want to arrange for a user to do an account enquiry against a number of control accounts, without being able to write journals which affect those accounts.

If I use segment value security on the user's responsibility they will not be able to enter the journals, but then they will not be able to do the account enquiries either.

Without:

1. a lot of special coding
2. duplication of existing screens
3. forcing users to switch between responsibilities Is there a quick and easy way to allow a user to enquire on an account without being able to enter journals against that account. NB The user will be allowed to enter journals against other accounts.
