Re: How to extract table contents to files?

Thanks to those replied.

: spool filename
: select * from table;
: spool off

When I use the above statement, and created the file, the system just hang after displaying the select * from table; statement when I exit sqlplus and view it using either more, cat or even emacs editor. Why?
