As for books try
Oracle 7 and Client-Server Computing (I'm not at home so don't have the author or publisher)
It was written in conjuntion with Oracle (I think) and appears to give an excellent overview of the various products especially the DBA tools together with advice on installation and configuartion.
It also give a good perspective on client-server in general and the sort of things you have to think of.
It is a good book if you understand other DBMSes and want to get a grip of Oracle 7 (like me)
