For information on data mining / knowledge discovery in databases, check out the data mine (run by me, Andy Pryke) at The Data Mine

The Data Mine contains links to on-line papers, a bibliography, links to relevent sites, a page of information on other "data miners" and some info on data mining software.

CONTRIBUTIONS are always VERY WELCOME for The Data Mine, particularly bibliography updates and pointers to on-line papers. I need more information on the database side of data mining (as opposed to the machine learning side. Pointers to any relevant papers / technical reports on DATABASE ISSUES would be PARTICULARLY GOOD. (apologies for the SHOUTING in this paragraph).

Also look at The Knowledge Discovery Mine run by Gregory Piatetsky- (link from The Data Mine). This has information on KDD nugget (a mailing list for KDD) and a brief FAQ.
