Not true. Oracle will continue with a high-quality ODBC driver for its databases for our customers who use ODBC.

At the same time we are building a database interface using an OLE 2 InProc server architecture to be released soon. An OLE automation interface like this integrates much more cleanly into VB and C++ than ODBC's API.
