We have run into a rather unusual feature(?) concerning text fields. Why is it that when you have an ampersand `&' character preceded and followed by a space does Oracle convert it into an underscore...

For example:

     'Air & Water'

would display as:

     'Air _Water'

This corrects itself when you enter the field but generates the underscore upon leaving. Is the ampersand some special control character in text fields in the Windows version of Oracle forms?

Just wondering...
