Forms 4 - deleting objects

Is it 'safe' to delete whole blocks from a Forms 4 app   and assume that no performance/reliability problems will   result?

  I've got a Forms 4 .fmb/fmx that had three canvas-views.

I have added two more canvas-views that replace two of the   previous canvases. Moving triggers etc. from the 'old' to the   'new' canvases. Deleting items etc from the old canvases   when I'm sure there's nothing left to copy.

A bit of a redesign really.

However, the .fmx has got even slower than ever: start up speed   is terrible. And reached the point today where runforms core   dumps 20 secs after being kicked off (and before *anything's*   displayed). I'll start again from the last backup - an hour   or two's work should get me back the 'lost' features.

Can I be sure though that I'll have a reasonably clean app. With   C code you could be sure to edit out the bits you don't want.   But with a forms .fmb I don't really know what's in there   beyond what designer will show. Paranoid, me? 8-)
