I've crossposted and directed followups to comp.lang.perl, which is where this thread belongs.
It sounds to me like you need to build a 'taint' version of oraperl. I've tried to do this but been unable to get it working. If you can get it working I would really appreciate it if you could send me a copy of whatever you changed to make it work.
What platform and OS are you using, BTW?
