FAQs... Help!! I am new here and to ORACLE.

Could anyone be kind enough to tell me where I can read the FAQs ? Also, I am a new user of ORACLE. Where should I start and what books would you suggest as introductory material and for learning. I have some sort of basic SQL knowledge and have done a very short term SQL-PLUS course before.

I would prefer a direct reply to me as I find it very cumbersome to go thro' the entire newsgroup just to search for a reply.
