Michael,

Look into InfoPublisher from PageAhead Software. This is exactly what InfoPublisher does, DBMS access into Work Processing/DTP software. It's really pretty slick. I constructed a Mailing Label routine that does a Word for Windows MailMerge from a SQLServer database.
