4GL tools--recommendations sought

Hi all,

        I'm in the market to buy a 4GL package soon, but with a plethora of 3rd party products, I'd appreciate whatever help I could get cutting to the heart of the matter.

        Anybody with their two cents is invited to submit a blurb about what they use now, used previously, used and trashed for something better, etc. I promise to summarize and post for all, so please, don't fill my mailbox with "me-too" requests (don't mean to sound too harsh there).

        I've seen materials on a few products, but I don't have a lot of information from users of the products.
