I've used gcc 2.5.6 to develop OCI programs on Solaris 2.3. Gcc also seems to work fine on SunOS 4.1.3, HP-UX, Ultrix. However, please note that gcc is not supported by Oracle on any platform. You can not expect any technical support if you do not use the supported C-compilers.
