ADRIAN -- Not sure precisely what Forms object you're calling the
"scrolled list", but presuming you either mean a multi-record block or a list of values, then the maximum number of records for a multi-record block is in theory 64K in Forms 3.0, and the maximum number of rows in a list of values is around 32000. There is a limit of 255 fields and a page can be up to 255 by 255, but I cannot think of what other features you're calling the scrolled list.
