Hi
Can anyone help me with the following problem ? I rebooted a Sun Saprc 2 machine while an Oracle instance was still running. After rebooting the Racle data base could not be mounted due to a deadlock detection. The following notes give a precis of the problem ..
> sqldba
sdldba v6.0.36.5.1 ORACLE RDBMS v6.0.36.5.1 PL/SQL v1.0.35.2.1 Production
> connect internal
ORA-01034 ORACLE not available ORA-07318 smsget: open error when opening sgadef.dbf file SunOS Error 2: no such file or directory
> startup
ORACLE instance mounted Database mounted ORA-00060 deadlock detected while waiting for resource attempting to dismount database ... database dismounted attempting to shutdown instance ... instance shutdown
Is there any way that I can recover the system ? I have already saved the contents of the data base via the export command. All I want to do is start the oracle system. Empty the data base and import the previously saved copy.
Is this an easy task ? I cant currently reinstall the system as I dont have the tapes.
Can anyone help or suggest any contacts ?
Thanks in advance
