MICHAEL -- As a hint to Forms 4.0 users, this would be accomplished

           with:

                Set_Block_Property('blockname',DEFAULT_WHERE,
                                  your_string_variable );

           Where your_string_variable is any literal or string
           expression to add to the default where clause
