JUNE -- I presuming you are using the production version 4.0.11.1 on
MS-Windows.
FRM-40920: Unable to create view: Low on system resources.
Occurs when you are low on MS-Windows resources. Forms
has determined that given the current level of free
resources it will not be able to display all of the
items on the canvas in the window your attempting to
show, so it gives this error and doesn't create any of
the items (rather than creating only *some* of them on
that canvas).
This could be provoked by having a canvas with a
multi-record block containing lots of text items in each
record. Problem is solved in 4.0.12 version of Forms on
MS-Windows where we no longer use up resources for each
widget displayed. In the meanwhile, displaying fewer
number of records displayed has been a temporary
workaround for many of our current customers.
Contact your sales rep on availability of the 4.0.12
version. Unofficially it should hit the streets by late
November.
FRM-10064: Unable to load the object from the resource file.
Can also be related to low system resources.
VGS-1101: Oracle Toolkit error.
If you have an XGA video card, there are various known
Microsoft problems with the XGA driver "leaking" GDI or
USER resources. We're working on isolating how these
problems affect our product (together with some sites
who have XGA video and are experiencing similar
problems). Some of the PS/2 (if not all of the latest
ones) come with XGA video.
Application Error: F40DES caused a General Protection Fault in
<module_name> at <address>.
PSCRIPT.DRV sounds like a problem in the postcript
printer driver. I would try with other printer drivers
to narrow down the problem. The TK2WIN.DLL problem
should be reported to Worldwide Support with a
reproducible testcase so that we may address the
problem.
Thanks.
PS -- When it comes to Windows Resource issues, having more RAM
typically does not aid the situation because the limit in the
Windows environment is quite low regardless of how much
addressable RAM your system has.
