V7 import of V6 never ends?

Hi,

I am presently conducting migration tests between our current V6 and our new V7 systems.

My first attempt at 'full system importing' failed during the import of a table and it failed consistently on that table my other attempts.

Typically, the system CPU activity (Solaris 2.1) goes up to roof and no disk activity is perceptible. The system stalls as if stock in a thight spin lock loop.

I`ve next tried to import just that particular table, using command line argument to the v7 'imp' utility.

	imp system/manager fromuser= touser ...
	commit=n indexes=n table = ( my table )

Same problem.

Next, I tried to import the following user (schema) in my import file. Same problem. As if the import utility, while scanning the import file, caught something it didn`t like at all.

Has this happened to anyone else?
