The following error occurred on Friday afternoon:
"FRM-40900 Unable to allocate record buffer. Clear form."
I was running:
SQL*Forms Design 3.0.16.11.1
Oracle Toolkit 01.00.20.00.00 PL/SQL 01.00.34.04.00 SQL*Menu 05.00.11.12.00
on a VAX mainframe running VAX/VMS V5.5-2
The error doesn't seem to be listed in
SQL*Forms Designer's Reference (Version 3.0) or Advanced SQL*Forms Techniques.
Just before the error occurred, it was executing a query that should have brought back about 250 fairly large records. I reckon that there was probably insufficient memory available to "allocate [the] record buffer[s]"...?
Has anyone else come across this error ...
