Sqlnet V2 quest: pipe driver connected to MTS on UNIX

I've a simple question:

How do I set up listener.ora and tnsnames.ora so I can connect to the Multi Threaded Server using the "pipe driver" rather than the "tcp/ip" driver?

(Connecting via tcp/ip was fairly straightforward)

Also do I need to set the init param: MTS_LISTENER_ADDRESS to a string?

For example, to set up the listener for the tcp/ip driver, I need to set the init param: MTS_LISTENER_ADDRESS to something like this:
MTS_LISTENER_ADDRESS="(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=ava2)(PORT=2525))"
