In a posting from Nigel Campbell, he mentions that the Patricia Seybold Group publishes a matrix of UNIX RDBMS products and compares their features.

How can I get a copy of this white paper ??

How can I reach the Patricia Seybold Group (phone, fax, mail, ...) ??

How much does it cost ??

In particular, I want some questions answered about how well each DB vendor optimizes distributed queries. I am dissapointed by Oracle 7 and how it optimizes some distributed queries. We have found that in queries involving both local and remote tables, the DB usually tries to copy all relevant columns/rows from remote tables into the local DB before any joins are executed. This is unacceptable when remote tables are very large (ours are over 500 MB's).

        Thanks,
