SQL*Net TCP/IP for OS/2 Clients - HELP !!

Hi all,

I have just installed SQL*Net TCPIP for OS/2 2.0. The server orasrv is installed and running on a SUN machine connected to the campus network.

When I invoke SQLDBA from the prompt in an OS/2 Window I get the following error messages :

DBA-00314 Unable to attatch to default host ORA-06107 NETTCP : ORACLE network server not found.

I have entered the name of the server process "orasrv" and the tcp port number 1525 in the /etc/services file. I am also able to telnet to the host on which the oracle server process is running. Sqldba and Sqlplus are able to connect to the remote database from other UNIX machInes. But it refuses to work from my OS/2 machine.

Other details :

I am running OS/2 2.0 with IBM TCP/IP 1.2.1 with patch level UN34109 (after running the syslevel command in OS/2).

Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions will be welcome.
