Default ordering on Base table in sqlforms

I am posting this on behalf of another user who does not have the wonder of net access and am not also an sqlforms expert so that I hope it makes sense to others. This relates to sqlforms 3.0.

The situation exists where the rows of the base table need to be ordered ( after a query) according to a column in another table.

For example:
The student-subject table needs to be queried. The student number is part of this table and the surname is part of another table. We would like the ordering of the student-subject records to be according to the student surname.
