I am attempting to load a DATETIME field in FORMS3.0 with a format mask of 'DDHH24MI'. I don't care about the year or month. The system apparently has a default Month and Year of June, 1988, so that if I attempt to enter '31' as the DD portion of the input I get a Forms error.
Workarounds are possible, e.g. us a CHAR field and parse the input or make the input field larger than the display and preload the field with a different month and year. The former is cumbersome and the latter only works if you don't make corrections in the field.
It would be far easier if the default values could be changed. Oracle support was not able to help. Does anyone else know if this is possible and if so, how to do it?
Thanks.
