We seem to have a problem with Oracle 6.0.33 (the Intel processor
unified release of Oracle), under System V Release 4.
This release works fine under SCO UNIX.
It also worked fine under System V Release 4.0 v2.0, both as
delivered and when the TP option is built.
Switching to SVR4 v3.0 resulted in the base system still
working fine, but when the TP version of Oracle is built, attempts
to use it result in an error "Unable to send break".
Running 'truss -f' to trace the processes shows that the Oracle
"backend" process is dying with BOUNDS ERROR (Segmentation Violation),
when processing a message.
My query is, has anybody else seen this, and is this displaying a latent bug in 6.0.33, or is it a bug introduced in SVR4.
