Perhaps it is better to explain my procedures today. For business reporting and analysis purposes I am making several extracts from Oracle into csv-files. As my current reporting tool only allows me to make an extract from one database at a time, I am making a lot of queries eg. an extract from our order database, an extract from our stocktable and one from our debtor tabel. Then I combine these files in a spreadsheet, eg. looking up the item name in the stocktable from the itemnumber in the ordertable and so on. Very timeconsuming, and very little up-to-date.

The data should preferably be integrated directly into the spreadsheet from the Oracle database. This would normally be in a database style with columns and a number of rows, upon which I perform Pivot table operations or other database functions.

Hope this explains my objective!
