oracle web tools - how do they relate?

and probably some more (for example, I hear about an Oracle Web Server which I suspect to be the same product as the Web Application Server).
I have some disconnected bits of information on these Products, plus some sales talk in the Oracle web site, but I cannot make them fit together to form a consistent picture for me.
- How do these products relate?
- How do they co-operate?
- Are there combinations of them that make no sense?
What I want to do is create a data warehouse system with 8i and a Web surface. I know about databases and warehouses, but I am new to Oracle (though really impressed about the feature list of 8i).
