Help... Help...How do I unfreeze my Desig Repository

I would like to know how to unfreeze my designer repository? I would like t know what could be the cause of this freeze? Before I noticed this freeze, I was doing an export on fulluser using the designer 2000's admin util. and was also working on the load & upLoad option under repository-->File. Now I have no clue on how to unfreeze this, repository.

could any one help me to get out of this mine-field?

I have a question, i.e if I once again fo ahead and do a full export and then delete the current repository, and import the previously exported file, would it retrieve the previous repository content as it is? I'm in a deep trouble, could any one help me?
