Don't you just LOVE NT. We were having a similar problem. Finally after months, it seemed to relate to users abnormally ending their Netscape/Oracle session....as in Control/Alt/Delete. The NT machine would have these runaway 'ZOMBIE' sessions that caused memory problems. At first we would reboot the server and everything was fine. Finally we killed the processes one by one. When we killed the offending process that caused the constipation, the other processes would finish up(sometimes sitting there for many hour). I am not sure that it is the same problem, but after working for months with Oracle on this we no longer have the problem.

We changed the FORMS50_TIMEOUT key from a string to a DWORD with a value of 3. Oracle did not state that it definitely make a difference but according to their documentation, it should be a DWORD and the value should not be less than 3 (minutes). Don't know if that fixed it. The only other thing is that I finally won on having the NT machines reboot every Sunday. (I tried for every day because NT is such junk when it comes to memory issues.) All I know is we have been fine for months now instead of having a problem every couple of weeks. Oracle said they had this particular problem but that it had been fixed in the version we were running, NOT!
