Reports Server problems

We are running Solaris 2.6 (sparc) with NIS (unfortunately). We re also running OAS 4.0.7.1.0 with Reports Server 6.0 both on Solaris. Recently we started having problems with web reports hanging. Theonly thing we can do is kill the repserver processes and restart them. Then we cna only run simple reports, anything with graphs etc. kills the repserver again. We looked thru the wrb.log file and noticed that these things happened before but never to the extend that they are now happening.

We patched both products last night (OAS and repserver) and are starting to think it is NIS causing the problem.
Any insight would be appreciated!
