Hi
DECODE is just another form of (IF THEN ELSE)
IF A=B THEN X
IF A=C THEN Y
ELSE Z;
Your example:
IF decode(mod(rownum,5), = 0 THEN ROWNUM ELSE NULL; Hope this helps
