There are a couple of options:
a) Manually define the service (database) you want to connect to (In OEM)
b) Install (if it isn't already) and configure the agent on the server. Then
service discovery will work.
The version of Net you use on the server shouldn't matter - I'm using OEM
1.6 to look at 7.3 and 8.0.5 databases.
