Yes - it is documented in one of the appendixes of the installation manual. Go for NT, as officially only MS networking is supported (I know it doesn't work with Banyan Vines).

Keep in mind, that there will be spikes in your network thruput. Also, change the working directory to a local drive to reduce network traffic, and install the Required Support Files (RSF in jargon) on every client.
Anyway, pretty well documented. Local works faster, but more difficult to maintain (any comments on Oracle's Centralized Installation utility?)
